Apple
Apples contain vitamin C, A and K, pectin, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, choline (a nutrient similar to B-vitamins), folate and antioxidants like beta-carotene, lutein, beta-cryptoxanthin and zeaxanthin.
Fresh apple juice also contains important phytochemicals such as quercetin, catechin and ellagic acid, which you will not find in processed apple juice.
Lemon Juice
Lemon Juice contains a good amount of vitamin C. It also contains potassium, folate, flavonoids and limonene, a phytochemical with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Ginger
Ginger contains many compounds including small amounts of vitamins and minerals, and a good number of antioxidants such as gingerol.
It has anti-inflammatory properties and is often used for digestive issues such as nausea and because of its carminative (reduces intestinal wind) properties.
Beetroot
Beetroot are a good source of fibre, folate, manganese, potassium, vitamin A, beta carotene and vitamin C.
